What is Massage Therapy?

Massage Therapy is a profession by which the practitioner applies manual techniques (by use of the hands or body) to the client/patient's body.  The technique called "massage" uses soft tissue manipulation, which includes holding, causing movement, and/or applying pressure to the client/patient's body.  

This type of therapy, along with other adjunctive therapies with a series of actions, aim at achieving the increase of health and wellness with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of the client/patient.
